1947 Resthaven celebrates its 20th anniversary
1972 The community mourns the passing of Edgar Benjamin
1972 Resthaven is rebuilt to become a 240-bed facility
1995 Resthaven is renamed to honor Edgar Benjamin
1997 Benjamin Healthcare Center celebrates its 70th Anniversary
1998 The purchase of our mortgage from the developer who threatened to foreclose the Center
1998 Accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
1998 Accreditation by the Department of Public Health
1998 Listed among the top 15% of nursing homes nationwide in the 1998-1999 edition of The Inside Guide to America's Nursing Homes
1999 Zero deficiency-Dept. of Public Health State Survey
1999 Established Hospice and Respite Care
1999   Celebrated Opening of Roxbury Preparatory Charter School
